Join Team Hope Network!

Hope Network is excited to be a Charity Partner for the 2012 Fifth Third River Bank Run. Consider participating, fundraising, or supporting Hope Network in the River Bank Run!

1.) Run, Walk or Roll

Be one of the first... 25 to register for the 25K run, 10 to register for the 10K run, or 5 to register for the 5K run ...and recieve a FREE wicking shirt!

  • Register for the Fifth Third River Bank Run at www.53riverbankrun.com. There are events for everybody! With 25K, 10K, 5K Run, 5K Walk, Junior, Wheelchair, and Hand-cycling divisions.
  • Select Individual Registration regardless of whether you are participating as an individual for Team Hope Network or as part of a team that running for Team Hope Network.
  • If you’re interested in running and fundraising, select Hope Network as your benefitting Charity Partner under Please designate a personal charity for which you would like to raise money.

2.) Fundraise

  • Set up your fundraising page. Go to www.active.com/donate/hopenetwork and click on Become a Fundraiser
  • Choose from Fundraise as an Individual, Create a Fundraising Team, or Join a Fundraising Team
  • Make it your own with a message, photo, fundraising goal, etc.
  • Notify your family, friends, and associates by sending an e-mail from you ActiveGiving account, inviting them to support your efforts or join your team.

3.) Lead a Team

  • Lead a team of race participants, lead a team of fundraisers – OR – lead a team of both fundraising participants. All team members do not have to participate in the same division.
  • Decide what you are running, walking, rolling, or fundraising for (a designated Hope Network home, in honor of someone special, a specific cause or need, etc.)
  • Rally your team members (look out for team incentives)
  • Follow instructions for participants and/or fundraisers

4.) Give

  • Give support to an individual, the team, the mission, and/or cause, etc.
  • Make a tax deductable contribution by online submission at http://www.active.com/donate/hopenetwork – OR –
  • Give directly to the person you’re supporting, don’t forget to record your contact information and donation amount on their pledge sheet (Hope Network will send you a receipt.)

Applied Behavior Analysis for Autism Spectrum Disorders

Grand Rounds is a new series of professional lunchtime lectures covering a variety of topics relating to autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions, including ABA, Speech and Language Pathology, and supporting children and adults with autism. Lectures are free of charge and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring their lunch. Following each lecture, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers.


All lectures are from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the Hope Network Education Center, 775 36th Street SE, Grand Rapids, MI.

WGVU  |  Hope Network is a non-profit Christian organization well known in Michigan for providing a broad continuum of care in the treatment of brain and spinal cord injuries, developmental disabilities, and mental illness. WGVU’s Caroline MacGregor reports on the organization’s efforts to streamline services and address the alarming mortality rate among people with mental health disabilities.
