Hillcrest is licensed as an all-male, 6-bed Specialized Adult Foster Care facility. The program designed to provide individuals with support and training in managing their mental illness, while steadily increasing their independence in the community.

Staff are available 24 hours a day to provide support and guidance to the consumers at Hillcrest.  In addition to on-site programming, consumers can work or attend an outside day program such as a vocational program, rehabilitation, and/or school. 

Consumers are offered a variety of psycho-educational groups and community based activities. The staff provide training and support in developing skills for symptom management, medication management and community re-entry. Additional training includes use of public transportation, self-administration of medications, and basic daily living skills.  Other educational groups are developed depending on the needs of the consumers residing in the home at any given time.

The co-occurring specialist facilitates an on-going group to assist consumers in managing their mental illness and addictions.
