Oak Lodge

Kent County

Oak Lodge is a 6-bed non-licensed facility for adults with a chronic mental illness, borderline intellectual functioning (mild mental retardation), and/or other special needs. The central focus of the program is an emphasis on maximizing the level of functioning and the control of symptomatic behaviors within a network of vocational, social, residential, and educational services.

Oak Lodge residents have the ability to reside in a setting with limited supervision and must be able to self dispense all prescribed oral medications. The home is staffed with a live-in resident manager who provides assistance with budgeting, cooking, and other independent living skills. The case manager with involvement of appropriate staff and the individual receiving services coordinate program planning.

The Oak Lodge program also follows the overall agency’s commitment to providing a welcoming, accessible, integrated, continuous, and comprehensive model of services for consumers with co-occurring disorders.  This program is for individuals with basic mastery of independent and community living skills, emotional stability, and increasing vocational functioning.
