Scott Fletcher, OTRS
Outdoor Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
Scott Fletcher has been working in the field of brain injury for over 18 years. As an outdoor therapeutic recreation specialist, Scott is uniquely trained in helping individuals to resume participation in outdoor sporting activities despite a physical or cognitive disability. This may include providing assessment and instruction with hunting, boating, fishing, archery, and other related activities. Scott is an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, a Hunter Safety Officer endorsed by the DNR, and has received Captains Training from the United States Coast Guard. “I have the chance to do what I love while helping others to participate in activities they enjoyed prior to their disability,” says Scott. “I want them to know that life does not stop. It might have to be with assistance, but anything can be accomplished if someone puts their mind to it.”
Scott is a member of the National Rifle Association as well as Sturgeon for Tomorrow. He travels to Hope Network’s
neuro-rehabilitation campuses throughout Michigan to provide his expertise. Scott has been a team member of Hope Network since 1993.
