How To Give

What does Hope Network do?

That's a question we often hear. Most people know our name. You've probably seen it on one of our vans or buses, or perhaps on a building sign. Perhaps you've even had some involvement with one of our many programs and events. Maybe one of your friends, neighbors, or family members is among the thousands of people whom we serve every day.

Many people know our name. Few know what we do. Recently, one of our board members likened us to "the waterworks under the street"… You know it's there. It's essential to the fabric and functioning of our society. But it's certainly not glamorous, and for the most part, you take it for granted.

The fact of the matter is Hope Network plays a major role in our communities. Nearly 10,000 people receive service every day through one of Hope Network's many programs. Because of Hope Network, victims of traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries are learning how to live and function again. Men and women with developmental disabilities are able to put in a day's work and earn a paycheck. Elderly and disabled people who would otherwise be confined to their homes are able to get out from their homes to jobs, doctors' appointments, church, and social gatherings. And people struggling with mental illness are able to avoid hospitalization, living in a home-like environment while they receive treatment.

Our mission is simple: to enhance the lives of people with disabilities, mental illness, or other disadvantages, enabling them to live with dignity and to their fullest potential for independence.

This is life-changing work, done with little or no fanfare.

We at Hope Network hope you will take a look at what we do, and that after doing so you will choose to partner with us in this important work. Please read the enclosed "Summary of Services" brochure. It is our way of answering the question we so often hear: "What does Hope Network do?"

And then consider what you can do to help us in this important ministry. We need your help to continue doing what we do. Each year, we are helping more and more people, yet receive little or no additional funding each year from the state or from outside payers. Many people who need service have few resources available to them to pay for it. We help as many of them as we can. And with your help, we can do more.

Please consider what you can give, and please give generously.

Sincerely,
